I love what I do. I love the fact I have the opportunity to work with such amazingly talented, creative and darn right lovely people. This shoot is the collective achievement of some of those special people.
I didn’t do a year summary or retrospective of 2012′s achievements in photo form – I’m not that way inclined. I will say however, that I’m very happy, proud and overwhelmed that I have met such people as these. 2013 is going to be a cracker… Thank you guys!
I leave you with the first instalment of imagery from ‘The Country House’ shoot which has been kindly featured by the lovely Sonia from Want that Wedding. Look out for the next set which will be showcased tomorrow.

Waking up to a dark sky and torrential rain, the day started with two long suffering, bare foot models scampering through puddles and sheltering under crochet blankets. Working in an old school building to which we had the key for just six hours to create a set, style models and shoot the pictures; but despite the rain and the threat of chilblains we had a ball!
Make-up by Jo dolled up the vintage inspired classic look with a modern, pop of colour twist with block colours on the eyes and lips for a bold statement.
Stylist Adrian Wray of Chocolate, funked up the girls hair with quiffs and texture, adding a flash of yellow to tie in the bright eye shadow.
The ‘50′s inspired pretty pastel prom dresses from LouLou available from ‘Truly Beautiful Bridal Boutique’ complemented the look with a pretty, feminine touch.

I love meeting new and inspirational people and young Sophie from Nancy Loves Nails is one of those people. So when I met her through the vintage fairs I organize I knew she would create pretty painted nails that fitted perfectly with the pastel shades of the prom dresses.
The headpieces and fascinators are from Shmoobamboo - how bonkers are they?!

Rigwood Manor… An Introduction to The Wedding Institute Wedding Affair
I wanted to let you know about a little something that is coming up on the 29th April. As you may or may not know Vicky Trainor and myself have put our vintage loving, colour crazed, foral mad, 50′s obsessed little noggins together to create The Wedding Institute bringing together some super duper talented wedding suppliers with the same enthusiasm and love of all things beautiful and perfectly formed.
I have had the privilege to work with some of these people first hand and what an amazing experience it has been. I was over joyed when we created The Rigwood Manor shoot and to then see our creation featured on some amazing blogs and online magazines Love My Dress, Brides Up North, Utterly Engaged well was just the icing on the cake!
The day will be filled with gorgeousness. There will be live music, 1950s’ hair and make-up sessions and tea and cake!
